Eating for Free

I got a call from an old lady friend of mine that I havenâ ™t heard from in years. She and I were once lovers but grew tired of each other after a few torrid months. We both showed no anger when we ended our relationship. The phone conversation was pleasant and she spoke mostly about her ocean liner vacations. She then said that she would like to have dinner with me and would pay the bill. I said that it would be alright but only if our date would be platonic. She agreed. A few days later we drove to a beautiful roadside restaurant that featured dinner with dancing. The food was delicious and the live music was great. When I dropped her off she asked me if I would mind if she shared my phone number with some of her girlfriends. She said that many of her friends hated to eat out alone and would also pay the bill if I picked them up and drove them to dinner. I said that it would be fine.
There are many men and women that wouldnâ ™t mind being chauffeured to and from a restaurant. They would gladly pay the cost of the chauffeurs dinner bill. I found that out since my phone doesnâ ™t stop ringing with dinner date requests. A few of my dates like to drink heavily with a meal and they cant do that if they would have to drive home. I am happy to chauffeur them as long as the restaurant we go to has good food and music. I love to dance while waiting for the food to arrive. Some of my dinner dates asked me to spend the night with them but I never mix business with pleasure. I found that out the hard way when after sleeping with one of my dates she demanded that I pick up the dinner bills in the future. I said that I eat for free and will not pick up any check. I was spat upon and cursed by her. She does not call me anymore.
I have had so many dinner date requests that were impossible to fill that I had to expand my service to include breakfast and lunch. I calculated that I am saving about two thousand dollars a month on food bills. But the costs of running my automobile has to be considered. There are those that call me a cheapskate, but I pay no attention to them. They are jealous because I have beat the system by finding a great way to eat for free.
